GRNET and the European Digital Innovation Hub for Digital Governance GR digiGOV-innoHUB are organising   the online presentation  “Communication protocols and software for the Public Sector| Security, privacy and communication challenges in modern collaboration environments” on   Thursday, March 23, 2023 (14:00 – 15:30)

The presentation concerns the particular communication challenges faced by public organizations in issues such as:

  • The need for cooperation in the context of complex – multi-stakeholder – schemes for the provision of services and the execution of projects of public interest.
  • The ever-increasing needs for communication security, and for ensuring “ownership” and protection of public data. In the same context, relevant initiatives and solutions from Public organizations of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom will be discussed. In addition, reference will be made to the position of the European Union regarding secure real-time communications for the public sector.

Matthew Hodgson

Matthew Hodgson is co-founder of Matrix.org, a non-profit open source project focused on solving the fragmentation problem in current Chat, VoIP and IoT technologies.

As Chief Technology Officer at Matrix.org he coordinates and collaborates with engineers around the world to develop and disseminate a pragmatic open standard for real-time communication.

Matthew is also the CEO and Chief Technology Officer of Element, the company that provides Matrix-based services.
